In 2017, I discovered tapestry weaving and fell head over heels in love!
My family affectionately labeled my fast-growing collection of purposeless rectangles, thneeds; because a thneed is “a fine something that all people need,” according to Dr. Suess.
I was enjoying thneeding, yet had a growing need to thneed with purpose.
A quick rummage through my fabric collection revealed the parts required to make my first functional thneed.
Shortly thereafter, I was accepted into a local artisan co-op and people started buying my tapestries….turns out a thneed actually is a fine something people need 🙂
